RED POST #6

I opened the bag.
 “verum clothes than pothuma? ”
I suppressed my relief with a fake irritation.
“Bhaiya, sir only tell.nerya hostel a thirutu poguthu soluthu sir.athan checking”
“seri seri ipo polamla??”
 “note la entry podu..”
I walked until he closed the door and then started running until I reached the hostel bathroom. I went inside and locked the door. I emptied the contents of the bag on the floor. After a bunch of old shirts, two packets fell onto the floor.
They were transparent, one was slightly larger than other. It looked like salt except the colour was dirty white. They smelled an alkaline odor.I tried to make sense but couldn’t .I realized I was tired of worrying always and decided to go on with the flow...

7:00 PM,
 The Next day,
 BEHIND LHC.
It was a brief call the day before,
 "bagoda va.athula oru packet irukanum,onnuthan ! lhc pinnadi,7mani.”
Before I could speak it was cut.
i was standing alone, it had started to drizzle.
I wondered what if it was morning 7? I was too foolish to assume. My feet was shaking mildly, radiating upwards tremors to my hand. I convinced myself it was just a small help, no one will never knew.
 “BAGuu..”
I turned to see him. He was the tall guy who was with BHAI on the other night. He rambled through the clothes and found the packet.
Suddenly his face went rigid. He threw the packet at me."ONNU THANA SONAA!!”
I had stuffed both of them inside.”Itha vechutu nan ena panrathu???”
He stared at me.The look was pure terror.
His yellowish eyes warned me clearly to shut up.He reached into his bag on his shoulder and stuffed the packet. He took a bundle from his bag and placed it in the black bag and threw it back at me.
"kelambu…” and started walking away. I looked into the bag. There were two separate small bundles.
 Each one of 500 rupees note,total 15000.

4:00 AM
Two days later,

INCOMING CALL BHAI
“thambi panatha etandu back gate ta va..”
I switched on the light in half sleep.
I bent down to take my trolley where I had locked the money.
The lid was ajar.it took a minute before truth seeped in.
i was wide awake.
The bag was gone...
