RED POST #11
2:10 PM,
SATURDAY,
NEAR KIOSK,MIT.
The sun scratched the back of my neck burning my skin. I had been standing at the same spot for more than 10 minutes. It was the best spot I could find to hide. The aim is to watch him without him seeing me. He was late. It reminded me how I lacked the professional touch. I looked at the table below which I had kept the packet in a small polythene bag. Maybe I was stupid to place the bag behind co-ops but there was no one around and the idiot was supposed to come 10 minutes before.
I remembered BHAI’s words. “Thambhi dei uyirae ponalum avanuku nee yarunu theriya kudathu. ana avan full history unaku theriyanum. safety than first.Poruluku addict anathuku apuram un kal la vilunthu kenchuvan, mayangidatha.sms matum than.intha number vera ethukum use panaatha.yar call panalum pesatha.panatha vangu porula kudu.”
I had already got the money.
A sms, “bike stand.12.00 noon. bike number: ********.2000rs.”
I saw him while he kept the money. He must be 1st or 2nd year but I wasn’t sure.
At last a girl entered the co-ops and came near the table.
She was busy watching her mobile. Her phone rang.I caught a glimpse of her face as she spoke on the phone.
The last person I wanted to see - white.
What the hell she was doing there? She was supposed to be at home.
Only if she bent down and saw the bag. That as***le drug addict had landed me in a huge trouble. I could feel my hands tremble at the thought.
I called out her “hey white…”, she came out and saw me “nee enga inga??”
”adha nan kekanum”
“friend ku waiting pa..”
while we were speaking he came from the co-ops all of a sudden.
He must have entered through the kiosk gate behind me and to the worst he saw me.
“polama?”he asked her totally ignoring me. she waved at me “bye, pakalam…”
It took me few seconds to realize what happened.
I watched him walk away with both the valuable things I had.
I felt defeated watching them.
Thousands of years of civilization yet the animal instincts kicked in the moment, I saw him took her away. There is no way I would let a drug addict take her.
It was then I realized it’s time to turn RED….
